At first glance we considered skeptics and closed-minded people to be the same thing. After discussing, learning more on the matter, and discovering what we all agreed there actually was a huge difference between the two. We also came to the conclusion, the badge of honour which closed minded people really boast about is not as glamorous as they think.
skeptic
: a person who questions or doubts something (such as a claim or statement)
Skeptics have pointed out flaws in the researchers' methods.
You can believe in ghosts if you like, but I'm still a skeptic.

We love skeptics!
Playful curiosity shows that you are willing to learn and accept new interpretations of what you believe to be true. You are willing to be open to examine different options out there to create an informed decision. It shows that you are resilient, open-minded, considerate, respectful, inquisitive, and so many more positive traits.
You are investing your time and energy into education through experimenting with new concepts which are outside your comfort zone. You are creating possibility and willingness to change should you be convinced differently. You should never be discouraging people from questioning your beliefs when they are approaching the view as a skeptic. They are simply attempting to develop an understanding of why and what you believe to be true. They are okay with indifference.
Closed-minded individuals however are argumentative, low vibrations, cruel, limited thinkers with many other negative traits. No matter how much proof, details, facts you present they will not even consider other people's opinions to be valid. They tend to be egotistical, demeaning, and difficult. Don't those character traits sound flattering? These individuals believe only their way is correct and not even willing to listen, validate, or consider your views an option.
Who do you want to be in this world?
The person who is willing to consider different interpretations on subjects or who refuses to change?
I love being a skeptic which examines multiple angles to all situations in life. Evolution occurs when you are able to examine the world with playful curiosity! Asking questions to develop innovative outcomes. It increases your vibrations to make your heart and soul sing without demeaning others. You are open to their ideas, yet not agree. You are able to create open discussions and dialogues with intrigue without the desire 'to be right'.
When approaching situations, examine your interactions of others.
Are they engaging or do they look frustrated, defeated after discussing the matter?
Do they answer negatively or abruptly?
Are they lowering their vibrations to match your negative mind set?
Perhaps you may want to consider that you are coming across as closed-minded which is not as glamorous as you initially thought.
Keep your vibrations high and do not lower them to 'convince' lower vibrational closed-minded people!
